Poem: Inner Confidence (haiku in 16 variations)

Social Media’s
addicted to approval
starved for attention

Fear of rejection
dogs live in packs for safety
but I’m a lone wolf

Group mentality
always felt suffocating
I never liked crowds

Gladiator Games
thumbs down meant execution
Thumbs up Survival

Truth’s unpopular
but I’d rather be friendless
solitary peace

The less “likes” I get
is something to celebrate
inner confidence

It’s a lonely path
to enter truth’s narrow gate
Follow God, not them

Be brave, bold and stand
alone for righteous justice
you’ve nothing to lose

but their ego ruse
their game of fame and pretend’s
worthless in the end

Launch truth’s pearl wisdom
wake the rare few that listen
that’s all you can do

Don’t waste pearls on swine
don’t take it personally
it’s not about you

Most folks are brainwashed
it’s cognitive dissonance
they’d rather stay slaves

Big Brother’s watching
gauging the mob’s reaction
launching emojis

Truth kills illusions
pops their fantasy island
their idol worship

Kill the messenger
that’s their empty solution
hear, see, speak: nothing

They claim ignorance
unless the tell-a-vision
stirs a new riot

  1. You have always seen the true shape and soul of humanity, Judy. I think of the Apostles and John The Baptist in the New Testament. The elites did not want to hear the truth nor God’s message and, like John the Baptist, murder was the way to silence unwanted truth. Yet, those few who did listen brought forth the message of salvation to us today. What can we do but be the example, teach in the savior’s way, and pray for those who do and do not accept the plan of salvation.

    1. Thank you very much, Dan. Well said—we must be the example and pray for all. The apostles faced so much opposition, I think they were all martyred, except for John, (not John the Baptist), he was truly remarkable. I think a time will come (perhaps in our lifetime) that Christians will again be martyred. The world has gotten so unbelievably dark.

  2. Matthew 7:13-14 – Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

This world continues to turn a blind eye towards the truth and continues to brainwash the masses.

Blessings always, my friend. God will never leave or forsake you 🙏🏽🕊️✝️
