Poem: Kindness is a Gift (haiku in 11 variations) + video

Kindness is a Gift

Kindness is a gift
Both to others and yourself
It’s never wasted

Giving without strings
Without reciprocation
No expectations

Giving in secret
An anonymous kindred
An unsung hero

Sharing what you have
Serving all of God’s children
Is service to God

God will reward you
God knows your sorrowful joy
God sees everything

He hears every thought
Store your treasures in heaven
Love without ceasing

Just as Christ loved us
Even giving up His life
So that we would live

Forgive all the hurt
Cruel words, hatred and dirt
Don’t trap it inside

If it were easy
We wouldn’t be here on earth
Strive because it’s right

Uplift lost people
Because they’re precious brethren
Help your fellow man

Time is running out
Be God’s invisible hands
Care because you can.
No matter how little they had, they shared it.

  1. These types of videos are awesome. I love seeing the reaction of the receiver and their disbelief. Kindness is free, it doesn’t cost us anything and it can make a huge difference to someone.
A very stirring poem to go with the video you chose. The beautitudes scripture should be read daily 🙏🏽✝️

      2. Yes, I feel the love and gratitude from the receivers, I like how the first women prayed a thank you to God and the clip where the homeless man literally fed the giving guy in the arm cast, as if he was a baby was so innocent and precious. Great reminders that we’re all a family here on earth, all God’s children (whether we accept God’s grace or not) ✝️🙏💖. Blessings to you too, my friend 🙂

      3. God’s gift of salvation is free. His love and grace are for all to accept. Yes, we are all family here on earth and should be ready to lift one another up. ✝️🙏🏽💖

      1. I’m just one of many, 🙂, there are amazing Christians that are much more mature and helpful than I am! I hope I can correct some of the wrongs I did while I was in the New Age. I’m just a little, tiny spark of salt and light 🙂

      2. You are among a huge crowd of people who are seeing the true light. I put all my energy into those who are genuine and have the will to strive for what is right. We do suffer horribly from our animal instincts, and it takes real effort to rise above our instinct and live righteously. Thankfully, Jesus won for us the ability to repent and if earnest in our faith, to be forgiven. I feel you. I’m a little blue light in the red light district of the world.

      3. Sweet thoughts, my friend. I agree, we are forgiven and saved by grace in faith alone, not actions (grace can’t be bought, always only free). I love that you’re a a blue light in the red light district 🤗💖

      4. Thank you Judy. I think part of being Christian is ministering to all who would accept God’s grace and salvation through Jesus. And for those who will never accept, we can be a better example to others of what true faith is all about.
